Jedidiah Clothing Launches Website to Promote Humanitarian Organizations

Jedidiah Clothing launches new community-based website; February proceeds to go towards World Vision's Niger Rural Water Project.

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) February 1, 2009 -- Jedidiah Clothing, a humanitarian based clothing company, in partnership with World Vision launched a new community based website (http://www.jedidiahusa.com/community) today that raises money and awareness for non-profit organizations. As Jedidiah's featured partner for February, World Vision will use all proceeds from this month's Community Project Series t-shirt toward its Niger Rural Water Project.

"This year, World Vision is excited to feature our Clean Drinking Water Projects in West Africa in Jedidiah's Community Series, as it offers their customers an important opportunity to provide support, raise awareness and make a difference in the lives of children, families and communities who live in thirst," Keith Kall, Executive Director for World Vision's Corporate Partnership.

The new Community Project Series integrates art, clothing, philanthropy and awareness. With the launch of the new community, visitors can:

1. submit stories (http://www.jedidiahusa.com/pligg/login.php?return=/pligg/submit.php) that have impacted them

2. vote and comment (http://www.jedidiahusa.com/pligg/upcoming.php?category=Current) on stories that inspire them

3. vote on t-shirt designs (http://www.jedidiahusa.com/community/votes.html) inspired by the story with the most votes

4. each month the winning design will be sold online and in stores to support the non-profit it represents

The Jedidiah Community Project Series uses a social networking platform, where users are able to submit stories based on prompts relating to that month's featured humanitarian organization, vote on t-shirt designs inspired by member stories, and purchase clothing to support projects being carried out by Jedidiah's non-profit partners.

"Jedidiah has proven to be a good friend and partner of World Vision as they remain committed to our mission to serve the poor in Africa, Asia and Latin America. To date, Jedidiah has provided more than $25,000 to World Vision through their clothing lines. The series takes an innovative humanitarian approach that integrates art, clothing, philanthropy and awareness," said Keith Kall, Executive Director for World Vision's Corporate Partnership.
